I have just joined Life Time Fitness and it's a wonderful gym with lots variety. It is really costly to use the Personal Trainer services so I am struggling to find ideas for exercises to do other than the classes and the cardio equipment. Do you have any suggestions about where to find this information? Thanks.

      Hi, Linda,

The group fitness classes are a great way to learn new workout strategies — and with the exception of a few classes, most are free to members. I would also suggest digging through the Form & Function articles at our Web site (I've shortened the URL for you here: http://bit.ly/9pVGej). Many of these stories offer workouts (strength, cardio and flexibility), and, from personal experience, I can tell you they are really fun. For instance, our "Squeeze-It-In Strength Workout" (http://www.experiencelifemag.com/issues/march-2009/fit-body/the-squeeze-it-in-strength-workout.html) is one of my favorites. Cardio-wise, check out "The Tabata Tune-Up" and "HIIT It" — these are really fun (and quick) workouts that are SUPER effective. If you have more questions, feel free to ask! -Jamie Martin, EL Senior Editor
