Hi Christy,
I am preparing all my food at hope. I had trouble going out to eat with friends last night. We went from one restaurant to another until we found one I could eat in. We finally found one. It was a drag.
hope all is well sharron

Hi Sharron,
Navigating the restaurant scene can be a bit of a challenge. But know that it can be done. By asking for the veggies steamed without butter (if you discover dairy is one of your triggers) and playing a game of mix and match from the menu. It’s kind of like a jigsaw puzzle – just keep moving things around until you find a picture you like. You’re in the detox phase right now, which makes it that much more challenging. Once you identify your triggers you can steer clear of the foods that cause your body to react.
Check our Pilar's letter "In Praise of Picky Eating" for some inspiration (http://www.experiencelifemag.com/issues/january-february-2006/healthy-eating/in-praise-of-picky-eating.html). Try to keep a sense of adventure about the process, too. You and your friends may discover a new favorite restaurant.
Also, remember your goal flower. Perhaps you can add a branch to research local eating establishments before heading out next time. A lot of restaurants have their menus online making the research pretty quick.
I hope these suggestions help!
